Criminology Students Present Their Projects at Lledoners Prison

The students of the Comparative Penology course presented their projects at Lledoners Prison as part of a series of seminars aimed at sharing their university experiences with people deprived of their liberty.

On 11 December, students from Comparative Penology, a subject in the Criminology degree, presented their projects during a series of seminars at Lledoners Prison.

The seminars’ topics were: “Incarceration Rates: Czech Republic, Poland and Canada”; “Open Prisons: Spain, Germany, and South Korea”; “Violence Prevention in Prisons: Italy, Belgium, and the United Kingdom”; and “Quality of Life in Prisons: Spain, Germany, and Poland.”

The students from the course, incarcerated individuals, prison staff and lecturers participated in these seminars, which aim to share university experiences with those in prison and to enrich the students’ perspective from those who know more practical knowledge of the criminal justice system.
