On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. a seminar on the private application of competition law will take place in the Board Room of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Microsoft Teams. Specifically, the case of the car cartel will be discussed.

12/06/2024

Practically all car manufacturers formed a cartel, at least, between 2006 and 2013. Once the cartel has been accredited by the CNMC and confirmed by the National Court and the Supreme Court, all individuals and companies can recover the amounts they have overpaid for the purchase, renting or renting of their cars.

Many consumers and companies with car fleets have already complained, but most still do not do so (there are 7.9 million cars affected).

But who can make a claim? how do they have to do it? how much can I recover? what costs and risks does it entail? what are the chances of success of the claim?

In short, is it worth complaining?
