NEO: Neurons and Symptoms: advances in Leigh Syndrome

At the Institute for Neurosciences, a team of researchers directed by Dr Albert Quintana has identified two groups of neurons involved in Leigh Syndrome. They have also been able to identify the role of these neurons in the manifestation of this mitochondrial disorder affecting one in every 40,000 newborns.
