"Assetja-ments" an interactive a'nd feminist show to commemorate 25 November
A theatrical project based on improvisation will be the starting point for commemorating the international day against gender-based violence. 2x2 Impro arrives at the UAB with a feminist and comedic show that breaks societal taboos. The performance can be enjoyed on Tuesday 26 November at 12 p.m. in the UAB Theatre Hall, Plaça Cívica.
Assetja-ments is the result of the first improvisational theatre company led by two women, a group that was founded in 2017 with the mission to “distill improvised humour.” The show infuses theatre with a completely feminist perspective, all while bringing humour into the mix. Momo (Montserrat Gil) and Tana (Sonia Nardone) take the stage together to break down sexist stereotypes, offering a comedic take on taboo concepts through clowning and improvisation.
The performance, organised by the UAB Equality and Diversity Service, brings a fresh and enriching perspective that encourages the audience to deconstruct ideas through a transversal feminist lens. Tania and Momo, specialists in clowning and the Lecoq method, bring an innovative view of feminism through this show. Assetja-ments tackles issues often hidden from society, while always striving to make the audience smile.
A creative, gestural humour serves as a starting point to critique the patriarchal world and raise awareness of the issues surrounding gender-based violence. Assetja-ments deconstructs various taboo concepts in our society with a humorous tone grounded in reality.
This performance is part of the activities organised by the Equality and Diversity Service of the UAB to commemorate the day against gender-based violence. For more information, please consult this link.
