Conference on reforming research assessment
The conference on "The reform of research assessment: how does it affect you?" will take place at the conference hall of the Rectorat building and will include the attendance of ANECA Director Pilar Paneque and AQU Director Jaume Valls.
The reform of the research assessment system is at the forefront of current debates. It is closely linked to the strategy to strengthen the role of universities in contributing to the development of society through the generation and transfer of knowledge. The reform proposes a new research evaluation system that takes into account the complexity and diversity of the different ways of doing research, as well as its impact on society.
El proper dia 4 d’Abril, a partir de les 11 h, la sala d’Actes del Rectorat acollirà la jornada «La reforma de l’avaluació de la recerca: com t’afecta?», amb l’objectiu de compartir una sessió amb alguns dels protagonistes més directes de la reforma i de fer preguntes sobre el procés i sobre com afecta a la comunitat universitària.
The Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment published in July 2022, promoted by CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment), is having a strong impact at European level and is triggering numerous institutional and national initiatives to rethink assessment models.
On 4 April at 11:00 a.m., the Rectorat building will host the conference “The reform of research assessment: how does it affect you?”, with the aim of sharing a session with some of the reform's most direct agents and to ask questions about the process and how it affects the university community.

11:00 - 11:10 a.m. Welcome and presentation by Dr Assumpció Malgosa, vice-rector for Research.
11:10 - 11:40 a.m. “The evaluation of research: What for, how?”, Dr Ismael Ràfols INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) - UNESCO Chair, Leiden University.
11:40 - 12 noon “ANECA and AQU and the reform of research evaluation”, Dr Pilar Paneque (director of ANECA) and Dr Jaume Valls (director of AQU).
12 noon - 12:55 p.m. Round Table and Q&A session
12:55 - 1:00 p.m. Closing of the day by Dr Assumpció Malgosa, vice-rector for Research.
