"El Xiringu" launches its TikTok channel with information on drugs and sexuality
The FAS Health programme launches a new channel on the social media platform TikTok called “El Xiringu”, which will be sharing informative and entertaining contents on health-related issues. The channel will focus on issues interesting youth such as drugs, mental health, sexuality and emotions.
The Health Programme of the UAB's Solidarity Foundation (FAS) has launched a new TikTok channel called "El Xiringu". The main goal of this initiative is to promote healthy lifestyles among UAB students, and understand health as a global state of wellbeing.
"El Xiringu" is a place where reliable and contrasted information is shared. Its contents are aimed at raising awareness on important issues such as sexual health, conscious consumption of drugs, and mental health among young university students. Using short, entertaining and educational videos, the channel aims to educate, prevent risks, get rid of stigmas and, above all, connect with a university audience. In this sense, the channel will answer questions and solve doubts just like the FAS Health programme.
This new channel will also include collaborations with other projects, such as podcasts created jointly with the radion programmes aired on UABMèdia.
With "El Xiringu" the FAS Health programmed reaffirms its commitment to the university community, adapting to the communication channels most used by young people today. Thus, a new window of opportunity opens to build a healthier university community with a greater awareness of the challenges affecting the health of youth today.
