Louise Ryan reflects on the study of educational inequalities
The research group EMIGRA is participating in a European project aimed at reducing school dropout levels. An informative session has been organised by the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts and will be held from 25 to 27 March. Sociologist Louise Ryan will give the opening speech on 25 March at 6 pm at the Sala de juntes.

This will be the opening conference of the session on "Quantitative Research methods. III RESL.eu Training Seminar", organised by the CER-Migracions' EMIGRA group and the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology from 25 to 27 March as part of the European project "Reducing Early School Leaving in Europe". The session will be moderated by Sílvia Carrasco, main researcher of the project's Catalan team.
Louise Ryan is, in turn, the main researcher of the project's English team. She is also co-director of the Social Policy Research Centre, head of research methods of the master's degree "Research Design, Process and Ethics", director of publications of the British Sociological Association and member of the ESRC Review College and the editorial council of the Irish Journal of Sociology. Her research focuses on migratory processes, social networks, gender and religion.
