The exams will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday 4 June, with the Spanish language and literature exam. However, students will be summoned at 8:30 a.m. to proceed to the attendance control. Following that, the first day of the PAU will continue with the foreign language exams and, in the afternoon, those of physics, art foundations, geography, geology and environmental sciences and dramatic literature.

The PAU are divided into two phases: the general phase, which is compulsory, and the specific phase, which is voluntary for all student profiles and serves to raise marks. This year's PAU incorporate some small adaptations to guarantee the coherence of contents with the new LOMLOE baccalaureate, such as the recovery of the history of philosophy in the general phase. In total, more than 42,000 students will take the June exams at different university campuses of Catalonia. The results will be announced on 19 June.
