The UAB bids farewell to the year with two concerts
On Thursday 19 December the UAB will close the year 2024 with two concerts that promise to fill this final stretch of the year with music: the Winter Concert that will take place at 1:45 p.m. in the UAB Theater Hall and the 8th Christmas Concert of the Faculties and School of the UAB at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the UAB (Faculty of Arts & Humanities).

The first concert will be the traditional Winter Concert, with a diverse repertoire that will bring together the UAB Chamber Choir and Orchestra under the respective direction of Poire Vallvé and Jesús Badia. The concert will have as its centerpiece the work Els Núvols, a composition by Carlota Baldrís, based on a poem by the Catalan poet and physician Màrius Torres, which has been instrumented by Adrià Santulària, a member of the UAB Choir. In addition to this piece, the public will be able to enjoy other compositions by renowned authors such as Ludwig V. Beethoven, Camille Saint-Saëns, Bob Dylan and William Henry Smith. Tickets for this concert can already be reserved through this online form.
Later, at 6:30 p.m., the 8th Christmas Concert of the Faculties and School of the UAB will take place, an event that will be held in the UAB Auditorium. This concert will feature the Fredi's Jazz Band, a big band of young talents from the Escola Municipal Frederic Mompou in Matadepera. With a repertoire ranging from classic swing to the most current jazz, the band promises a unique performance, standing out for its creativity and musical improvisation. Attendance to this concert requires prior registration.
