UAB's DDD leads the ranking of Spanish university repositories
The UAB Digital Repository of Documents (Dipòsit Digital de Documents in Catalan), which gathers and manages scientific production conducted at the university, is the leading repository of this type in Spain, and seventh in Europe, according to the ranking carried out by the CSIC Cybermetrics Lab.

The DDD is the tool used to gather, manage, disseminate and preserve the UAB's scientific, academic and institutional production. At the same time, it includes digital documents which form part of the university's library collections. It houses a large variety of objects on different supports, themes and types of documents.
Research on the Internet
The ranking consists of a list of repositories which mainly house research projects, classified according to an indicator composed by a combination of data on internet impact and presence, obtained through the main search engines. It takes into account the number of page results offered by Google and the archives of specific downloaded formats, the quality of external links and articles published in recent years.
The Cybermetrics Lab, located at the Human and Social Sciences Centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), is dedicated to the quantitative analysis of internet contents, especially those related to scientific knowledge. It designs cybermetric indicators and techniques with the aim of studying the presence of research on the internet.
