Minor in Economics and Business Studies

Objectives

The mEE provides the basic knowledge of the business and the economy world in order to understand the economic phenomena that occur and to understand how do they interact in the creation of companies value. The minor provides students with a solid knowledge of basic economic and business principles, an adequate basis for understanding modern economics, and a useful perspective for a real-world decision making.

The subjects that make up the minor enable graduates to understand economic phenomena, the role played by companies and institutions in economics and the different functional areas within a company.

Student profile

The mEE is aimed at students of any degree [1] from the UAB who wish to complete their basic training with an approach to the world of economics and business management.

Future professionals from any field who want to know the business reality and the economic context in which they will develop their activity.

It is not necessary to have any prior knowledge about the subjects that make up its thematic area but it is necessary to have achieved the mathematical knowledge of a social, technological or scientific baccalaureate.

[1] With the exception of the following Degree’s: Business Administration and Management, Accounting and Finance, Economics and Business and Technology, since the subjects that make up the minor are part of these degrees.
