Following a good diet is important not only for good health but also for maximum physical and mental wellbeing. The diet should cover basic individual needs and we need to adapt it to the activity, work and physical exercise that we do. 
 
Activities and programmes for good eating habits
  • All the restaurants on the UAB campus have obtained AMED Mediterranean food accreditation. This award from the Directorate General for Public Health of the Department of Health identifies restaurants that promote a Mediterranean diet and guarantees: the use of olive oil for salads and cooking; a wide range of vegetables and pulses in the menus; preference for fish and lean meat in dishes; large selection of fresh fruit as a daily choice of dessert; low fat dairy products and dissemination of material and information about healthy eating and active leisure.

  • Tools for facilitate healthy eating and specific diets.
  • Cooking workshops for groups with special dietary needs.
  • Rebost 2.0:  To promote responsible and healthy eating habits the UAB has reached an agreement with Rebost 2.0 that enables the university community to buy “Qm” products without leaving the campus with a 5% discount for orders made through the Rebost 2.0 online store.
