Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

In the event that the students do not have Spanish or Catalan as their first language, they must accredit knowledge of level C1 in Spanish language, justified by a certificate, except where the original training has been taken at a Spanish-speaking Spanish or American university.

Acceptance of a student's application for admission will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as the application meets the graduation requirements in arts, humanities, social sciences or equivalent and accredits the required level of Spanish language proficiency.

Selection criteria

In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the number of places offered, the allocation of places will be made in accordance with the following priority criteria. The Master's degree Teaching Committee will assess the candidates' applications in accordance with the following three criteria:

  1. Academic record (up to 70%).
  2. Professional experience in cultural impact projects (20%).
  3. Participation in additional academic activities related to the field of humanities: seminars, conferences, research, publications and communications in academic forums (up to 10%). All entries or publications must be substantiated with a copy of the participation certificate or publication. For each duly justified participation or publication, the applicant will receive 2.5%, up to a maximum of 10%.

Complementary training

Given the nature of the teaching, in which information and computer technologies and their cultural applications are taught from the initial level of a Master's degree to the advanced training of students, additional training is not required.

The subject "Technology, Humanities and Culture" is taught at the beginning of the Master's degree and the first topics of the course include the training necessary to successfully complete the Master's degree, regardless of their previous training and/or experience. Lecturers use a variety of teaching strategies that are tailored to students' individual needs, including individual tutorials, study groups, and additional online resources.
