Welcome Days. Become a UABer

During the Welcome Days. Become a UABer here are some activities you can do to get to know student groups and UAB services so you can make the most of your stay at UAB.
You will also be able to meet other UAB international students and local students.

These Welcome Days end with La Comunitària, a day to bring in the new academic year for the whole university community, which will take place in different areas of the UAB campus on 1 October.

IMPORTANT! To take part in the activities, you will need to fill in the registration forms (from 10 September).

The Welcome Days. Become a UABer programme is as follows:

• Tuesday 10 September
  • 3 pm Institutional welcome by the Vice-Rector for Students and Employability. In the Auditorium of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

• Friday 13th September
  • 1 pm Body Combat session at the SAF. Come and see the UAB sports facilities and while you are at it join our body bombat session. Registration Form.

• Monday 16th September
  • 3 pm Speed Tàndem. Activity to meet other UAB students, but remember that you only have 5 minutes to talk to each person! Registration Form

• Tuesday 17th September
  • 1 pm UAB Nature walk. Registration Form.
  • 5 pm Treasure Hunt. organised by the Erasmus Student Networkstudent (ESN) student group so you can get to know the UAB campus. Registration Form

• Wednesday 18 September
  • 1 pm International Lunch. Prepare a typical dish from your country and share it with the rest of the students. Registration Form
  • 10 pm Star Gazing Session, by the student group Astro UAB. Registration Form
• Thursday 19 September.
  • 1 pm Human towers rehearsal, by Ganàpies, the UAB casteller's group. Registration Form.
• Monday 23rd September
  • 6 pm Open rugby training with Centaures - the UAB student rugby club. Registration Form

• Wednesday 25th September
  • 1.30 pm Open chess games, by Torres UAB, the student chess club. Registration Form
  • 5 pm Find out about the activities of Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in their presentation session. Registration Form

• Friday 27th September
  • 10 am Catalan from Scratch workshop. Come along to the workshop to learn a bit of Catalan and you'll see that it's not so different from other languages. By UAB Languages. Registration Form
