The UAB approves a charter of rights and duties for PIUNE students
Students signed up to PIUNE, the UAB's inclusion service for students with specific educational support needs, now have a charter of rights and duties. The charter, approved by the Alumni and Employability Committee, has been drawn up in accordance with UAB regulations so that students can know and understand all aspects involved in being a user of this service.
Among their rights, students can receive information and advice on regulations and resources related to inclusion, request modification of enrollment if relevant and justified, have personalised curricular adjustments made according to their specific needs, count on technical supports (software, computer, radio station, etc.), have access to the on-campus escort service in adapted transport or on foot, and have guaranteed confidentiality and privacy regarding academic, personal and/or health information.
In terms of duties, PIUNE students must comply with the programme access protocol and with the University's equal opportunity regulations, must inform in case of modification of personal or health data, must participate in tutorials and meetings with those responsible for inclusion in PIUNE centres and with PIUNE professionals, and must make responsible use of both the resources provided within the programme and of the services and agents in general of the university community.
PIUNE is a service managed by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària for people enrolled in bachelor's, master's or PhD studies at the UAB to ensure equal opportunities. To benefit from PIUNE, which offers individualised and professionalised attention, it is necessary for students to accredit their situation by means of a certificate of disability or the corresponding medical or psychological report.
