The UAB’s Permanent Theatre Group, directed by Ricard Gázquez, is one of the most prominent representatives of university theatre both within and beyond the UAB. Composed of ten actors, they will stage Everything’s Fine Between Us, a disruptive piece that explores the coexistence of three generations of women and the effects of the crises of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The UAB Theatre Hall will host the play on two consecutive days, Tuesday the 29th and Wednesday the 30th. Everything’s Fine Between Us is a well-known work by Masłowska, depicting the survival of three women from a suburb of Warsaw as they try to enjoy life with humor and irony. Masłowska is known for her critiques of society, and here, she focuses on political mismanagement. Through humor and everyday situations, she portrays how people survive the turmoil of history.

Dorota Masłowska is a novelist, journalist, composer, and singer. She gained recognition in the literary world with her debut novel Paw królowej (The Queen’s Peacock). She didn’t venture into theatre until 2006, with A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians. Finally, in 2008, she premiered the play that will now be performed by the Permanent Theatre Group. This will be the first time it is performed in Catalan. The show is an adaptation by the group’s own director, who based his version on Pau Freixa’s Spanish translation to bring Masłowska’s work closer to a Catalan-speaking audience.
