Interlibrary loan for external institutions
Libraries or research centers can use the interlibrary loan service to request documents from the UAB libraries.
In the case of requesting a request with a cost, the corresponding delivery note will be sent together with the document and, subsequently, the invoice will be sent.
The payment will have to be made, preferably, by bank transfer to the current account with IBAN number ES96 2100 0424 3202 0002 5001 of Caixabank, indicating in the concept the invoice number that is paid.

* The current rates for the interlibrary loan service of the UAB Library Service were approved in the economic commission of the Social Council on February 17, 2023.
Any type of material and format from the UAB library catalog appears: books, journal articles, conference proceedings, theses, audiovisual material, microfilms and microfiches.
To place a request you will need to complete an inter-library loan request form entering your ID number (NIU) and password. If you are using the ILL by the first time you must register previously and wait until you receive a confirmation message within 24 workdays (except Christmas and Easter).
It is recommended to provide as much bibliographic data as possible.
Once the request has been generated, the application will allow you to check the status of your requests, download the requested reproductions, or contact the Service.

Digital documents will be sent in electronic format. The original documents will be sent by courier to the CBUC member institutions and by certified postal mail to the rest of the institutions.
Interlibrary Loan is a service between libraries. Document requests must be processed through the interlibrary loan service of your library, whether public, university or private. f you want a loan or a copy you can request the item through your library's ILL service.
Books are loaned for a period of 5 weeks. Renewals are allowed.
In the case of loss or damage to the borrowed material, the purchase of an identical copy or one with similar characteristics will be requested.
