On Thursday, April 18, "Now you are a woman" was screened. Produced by Casal Lambda and directed by Alba Muñoz, this film delves into the life of Gerald Hayo, an activist for LBQ women's rights in Kenya and a survivor of one of the most extreme violent practices against lesbian women: corrective rape.

Before the film screening, there was a contextualization and detailed introduction to the theme by Alba Muñoz herself. Following the documentary, a roundtable discussion ensued to debate and reflect on the topics raised, with the documentary's protagonist, Gerald Hayo, participating online from the United Kingdom. The session also featured the participation of researchers Bruna Alvarez, associate professor in the Department of Anthropology and researcher of the AFIN group; Adriana Prexigueiro, a student of the Gender Sociocultural Studies Bachelor’s Degree and researcher of the SexAFIN project (AFIN-UAB); Isabel Domingo, a student of the Gender Sociocultural Studies Degree and researcher of the SexAFIN project (AFIN-UAB); and Xènia Gavaldà, Cooperation and Education Technician for Global Justice at the Fundació Autònoma Solidària.

On May 6, the film forum "Saber/Sumud/Palestina" was held, directed by Mercè Cama, Xantal Gabarró, Josep Galván, and Roger Sànchez. This documentary was filmed in Palestine by a group of Catalan brigadiers in the spring of 2017, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Six-Day War (1967).

Beyond the film screening, the session featured a very enriching debate with the participation of Aritz Garcia, an activist and expert on the Palestinian context, and Roger Sànchez, co-director of the documentary, who discussed the roots of the Palestinian conflict from a critical and decolonial perspective. Additionally, Leyre and Adam, two students who are part of the UAB Action Collective for Palestine, shared with the other attendees the need to make academic boycott against Israel effective, calling for adherence to the motion that will be presented to the UAB senate on 30 May.
