How surveys are conducted
Since 2001, the Catalan universities, in collaboration with AQU Catalunya, have been conducting the joint graduate employment market outcomes survey every three years.
The objectives of this project are to obtain data and references about the quality of entry f graduates into the jobs market, compare them, combine the information so that reliable conclusions can be reached in the area of Catalonia and generate historical documents that allow the trends and evolution of graduate entry into the employment market to be seen.
Entry into the employment market from the perspective of university graduates is complemented by the perspective of the employers, which you can see here in the study of entry into the employment market from the employers’ perspective.
The survey of entry into the employment market for graduates is carried out every three years: This years’ survey is the eighth and corresponds to 2023:
- More than 1,500 degree qualifications
- Plan to survey 40,000 graduates (23,000 Bachelor’s degrees, 15,000 Master’s degrees and 2,500 PhDs)
- Graduates from the following academic years
- Bachelor’s degrees: 2018-2019, 2019-2020 (except Medicine 2018-2019 and 2019-2020)
- Master’s degrees: 2017-2018 and 2018-2019
- PhD programmes: 2017-2018 and 2018-2019
- Survey data collection from November 2022 to April 2023.
The seven previous surveys correspond to 2001, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2020.
